World Leaders in Sleep
Sleeping well depends, for the most part, on the bed you choose to rest on. Our lifestyles have changed beyond recognition over the past century, but our need to sleep remains universal - we simply cannot function without it. With this in mind, it makes sense to consider your choice of mattress very carefully, because good quality sleep is a commodity that we should all be investing in.

Craftsmenship and Materials
Our dedication to quality is evident in every stitch, every layer, every element. Every piece is made by hand, designed to last, and as unique as the person it’s created for, celebrating the beauty of perfect imperfection.
In our Plymouth workshop, over 200 skilled artisans – many with decades of experience – bring together innovation and time-honoured techniques to create bespoke mattresses that stand the test of time.

Only nature’s most precious materials are used in our Vispring mattresses.
Wool, silk, bamboo, horsetail, cotton and cashmere have been carefully selected for their softness, breathability and resilience. Each material is hand-laid over the springs to create a sleep surface that is naturally insulating and also hypoallergenic. The result is a mattress that not only feels exquisite but has a fully biodegradable foundation that works with your body to regulate temperature, creating the optimal sleeping environment.
Natural Comfort
From the gentle embrace of cashmere to the resilient support of horsehair, every element in a Vispring mattress is chosen for its natural comfort and enduring quality. Our dedication to precious materials is reflected in every stitch, every layer, every detail – creating a sleep experience that nurtures both body and soul.
Horsetail
Our horsetail is sourced from Austria and South America, where only the finest-quality strands are selected. Hand-teased to maintain their open structure, these fibres act like mini-springs, adding bounce and breathability to your mattress.
Silk
As one of the strongest natural fibres, silk offers both durability and elegance. We blend Tussah and Mulberry silk for supreme softness, helping to regulate body temperature while adding a refined finishing touch.
Bamboo
Bamboo is one of nature’s most sustainable materials. When spun into fibres, it becomes sumptuously soft, moisture-wicking and naturally antibacterial – helping to create a fresh, and breathable sleep environment.
Vicuña
Sourced from an animal native to the remote highlands of the Andes, Vicuña wool is one of the world’s rarest materials. Known as “the fabric of the gods”, it is supremely soft, ultra-light and naturally hypoallergenic.
Mohair
Responsibly sourced from South Africa’s finest producers, our mohair is renowned for its softness and natural elasticity. It’s the perfect complement to our wool blends, offering a luxurious feel with built-in resilience.
Wool
We use only the finest fleece wool, sourced with care. Naturally fire-resistant, hypoallergenic, and breathable, it regulates body temperature and wicks away moisture – keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter.
Cotton
We select only the finest long-fibre cotton, prized for its strength, breathability, and softness. This timeless material helps regulate temperature and wick away moisture, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep in every season.
Cashmere
Collected during the natural moulting season, our cashmere is softer, lighter, and eight times warmer than traditional wool. We source from suppliers committed to sustainability, enhancing the luxurious feel of every mattress.

Why Vispring?
1. 30 Year Guarantee
Most competitors offer five or ten years. This is not a Warranty, but a complete Guarantee against manufacturing defects.
2. Comfort Promise
The ability to change spring tension within 90 nights. No other competitor offers this!
4. Vanadium steel springs
Vanadium alloy steel has a high tensile strength and is ideally suited to spring manufacture. The use of vanadium means the pocket springs manufactured by Vispring have a higher resistance to fatigue and relaxation - they have better memory in retaining their shape and profile.
7. Mattress covers are of the highest quality, allowing excellent breathability
Cheaper covers used by many bed makers do affect the absorbency and breathability making the mattress warmer and stickier in warm climates. All Vispring mattress ticks are treated with M-Pure to ensure a chemical- free sleeping surface.
10. Bases filled with natural upholstery allowing it to breathe
Foam is often used in bases for cost reduction. We use more natural materials in our divan bases than several manufacturers use in the mattresses.
3. Genuine hand side stitching
This improves the feel and longevity of the mattress. Very few other factories construct beds like this. It costs more to produce, but it enhancesthe lifespan of the product, giving complete edge-to-edge support.
5. Honeycomb nested springs in calico pockets
The open weave of cotton calico is supremely air permeable and is crucial in ensuring a fresh and hygienic mattress and, therefore, a good night’s sleep. Honeycombing allows more springs within the mattress, which provides improved support.
8. 6” pocketed springs used in the bases (3” if the base has a drawer or is a shallow height)
All Vispring bases offer edge to edge support, due to Vanadium Steel pocket springs covering the entire base. This leads to better support, increased comfort and improved lifespan of the product. Other companies use either a hard base, 3” coil springs or mini pocketed springs, but with a firm edge to save cost.
6. Generous quantities of natural quality materials
All Vispring mattresses contain generous quantities of natural fillings, without the use of cheaper synthetic layers. Vispring is one of the only bed makers that tell you the exact quantity of fillings in every mattress.
9. The Vispring divan base.
